Manufacturing hunting knives is PUMA's passion! Their famous classics include the "bare weapons" designed by forestry master Walter Frevert around the middle of the last century. In addition to the hog spear, the Waidbesteck and the universal hunting pocket knife (Jagdtaschenmesser) are knives he designed, including the “Large Jagdnicker”. This successful model has been an integral part of hunting equipment for many decades and has lost none of its relevance in terms of design and functionality.
As a traditional company, PUMA still feels obliged to give credit to this classic design. For this reason PUMA presented this wonderful Jagdnicker in a particularly high-quality version, limited to 50 pieces, as the knife of the year for 2021.
The knife was made available with buffalo horn or mammoth ivory scales, limited to 25 pieces each.
In addition to these two exclusive handle materials, PUMA equipped their knife of the year with nickel silver bolsters and a stainless DAMASTEEL® DS93XTM "Odins Eye" blade. Each knife is provided with an individual serial number. The delivery includes a black belt sheath made of saddle leather, as well as an especially elaborately made gift box made of fine walnut wood for presenting and safely storing.
